I have not used this knife to clean any game yet but not a bad little knife and i do mean little. Overall length is 7 and 1/8 inches blade length is 2 and 3/4 inches. The gut hook doesnt come to a point it is more like a blunt triangle tip. The knife blade comes pretty sharp right out of the box. Just from handling the knife I wish it a thumbstop on the top edge to provide a more secure grip. And as for the sheath you can take it or leave it it nothing fancy just a nylon cloth sheath w/ belt loop, velcro secure strap and the brand name sewn onto the front. And as always this is made in china.
