Product Description

Paring tools, both bent and straight shank, are used for delicate trimming and fitting. If you've never used a paring chisel, you're missing one of the real pleasures of hand tool woodworking. The extra-long blade and handle allow you to hold the tool against your body so you can use your weight and motion to achieve a controlled cut not possible with regular chisels. The bent-shank parers feature a shank that is bent up and away from the blade holding the handle clear of the surface being trimmed. These fine chisels are fitted with a beautifully turned and lacquered 6 1/4" ash handle and have an average blade length of 6 3/4".

These are very good chesils for the price. I have old chesils from my father who was a home builder and cabinet maker from the 30's to the 60's and these are made as well as his old stanely chisels. They were esay to hone and cut very smooth with good accuracy.
