I own similar Ryobi, Dewalt, and Black and Decker 18v drills and this is one of the best to use, I have not owned it long enough to comment on durability but I did use it quite a bit on a rental propery fixup and found it performs well and has a number of features not found on many more expensive drill, of course the two speed switch and varible speed trigger features are standard, and the bubble levels on the top and back of the drill are nice, also the two double ended bits are quite easy to get in and out of the built in holder which holds them securely with metal clips. The drill is exceptionally well balanced and will stand up securely even on carpet. It does take a large strong hand to get the battery off the drill, and I have read some comment on the size and weight of the battery, but it is 1.7 amp hours versus 1.3 on many inexpensive drills. How many drills have you seen with a built in led light that comes on automatically with the drill, or can be switched seperately, and with a 4 led charge indcator? The battery even rotates 360 degrees for access to tight spots, and I have read some comments that it rotates too easily and can move when you don't want it to, but on mine that has not been a problem. The one hour charger works well and the case is well made, and the latches open easily and close securely. There is quite a variety of tools that use the same battery and can be bought without a charger or battery, so you can expand the collection efficiently. I am curious to see how long the batteries will last, I have had bad experiences with a certain popular brand, the batteries often won't take a charge after a couple three years of light use, the they cost more than this complete kit.
