I purchased this socket set as a replacement for a brand manufactured out of the country and am extremely satisfied with the quality. I work as a heavy duty diesel technician and became discontent with my normal always purchased Snap-On brand quality of the recent past years so am branching out for other brands. These sockets fit the bolts & nuts precisely and tend to stay on the ratchet or extensions better than some other brands. This is a nice set for the reasonable price and from a well known manufacture.

Martin 691K 15 Piece Body and Fender Repair Tool Set Review

This is a great set of high quality hand tools made in the USA. The difference in quality between tools such as these and the much-lower-priced knockoffs is immense. I highly recommend these tools. The included sturdy steel toolbox with Martin logo will just hold the included tools when packed carefully - making for nice compact storage. Each tool was individually wrapped or boxed and all were shipped and in a single thick cardboard box. Note that the toolbox I received was black rather than red. The metal bumping book is straightforward and written in a style seemingly from the 1950s. Reminds me of another metal bumping book that was issued by the US Army in the 1940s. The whole package is old school at it's best. Highly recommended.

DEWALT DC983KA 14.4-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit Review

I have had my share of the makita 14.4 drills(older style like the 20th anninversary model)and I can tell you the newer style dewalts are fantastik. I am a Electrician and use this drill everyday from driving screws to .... 4" holesaws!! I know this is not recommended by dewalt but it will do it. I have had mine for 1 1/2 yrs And it is holding up great. I drill a lot of sills with a 1"x 18 auger bit. Switches hold up and the 3 speed gear box is the cats meow. I put a 1/8" bit in the chuck on high speed and use it to cut out around boxes in sheetrock like a router.The ratchet clutch has not let go yet or slip.The torque is all you want without the extra handle.

My only wish is to see nimh batteries. The xr packs absolutley hate cold weather and are cycled through the charger steadily

Best Way Tools 60101 Precision Screwdriver Review

Much like Frosty the Snowman, the magic in this driver is in the black cap on top. I searched high and low for a stubby 4mm bit driver, and couldn't find one anywhere! Ran across this little kit in a store, though, and realized that the spinny-cap on the back of the main body doesn't just hold the stored bits in the handle, it also pops off for use as a stubby driver. With a brass insert and magnet for bit retention, it's actually better made than the clear plastic body to which it attaches.

The main screwdriver is fine enough, I guess, but I'm not confident in the longevity of the plastic threads where the collet tightens around the extendable shaft. Also, the bit retention in the shaft isn't magnetic, it's a spring-retained ball bearing which flew out of mine within a few weeks of owning it. (I shrunk a bit of heat-shrink tubing over the end to hold the bits in now, and that's holding up just fine.)

The bits themselves are exceptional. I'm not sure of the exact material they're made from, but they're far harder than the shiny ones included with most cheap drivers. None have broken or dulled during my extensive use. Bits are 3.5, 3.0, and 2.0mm flat, PH1, PH0, PH00 phillips, T15, T10, T8, T7, T6, T5 Torx.

Would I buy it again? Already have! I got my first one at a hardware store while traveling. But after finding it on Amazon, I ordered three more -- two for friends, and one as a spare for me.
