Over the years, I have bought or have been given dozens of fold knives. All of which have failed me one way or the other. Either too heavy, too big/too small, or developing the dreaded play in the pin between the blade and the handle, this cause an extremly irritating wiggle in the blade, rendering it far less usefull when you need to really need go to work on cutting or whitteling.
I bought this knife last year for a mission trip in the African bush. It did me honest. I used all summer without sharpening it once, and it still made easy work out of tough materials such as gas cans, leather, and bike tires. At the end of the trip, I let someone borrow it and they snapped the tip off some how. I sent Buck Kives an email and they quickly and polietly replaced it(all buck knives have a FOREVER WARRANTY). They have made a customer for life.
Since then, I have taken this knife bushwhacking, creek-stomping, boulder-dashing, kayaking, urban adventures, and day to day use. I never, and I mean NEVER leave home without this blade. Its spin locking wheel makes it quick to open one-handed (with a little pratice) and the blade locks its self in the handle when you close it, so there's not even the slightest chance of it opening when don't want it to (such as when tossing it to your friend or the shifting around in bottom of your backpack). The rubber handle sticks in your hand with fantastic grip. Great blade retention. Nice stanless steel blade. Excellent solid feel. Outstanding buy.
