Colonial Blackie Collins 7001 Assisted Opening Knife Review

I have never heard of this knife company before. Colonial Knife Company. I recently moved to Oklahoma and one of the local stores had this knife and I recalled one of my youth at church had one as well. Now, this knife isn't a Spyderco or Benchmade with super sweet steel like the VG10 or others but for the price...this knife in terms of quality beats any knife I've bought so far. For a whooping $11.44 I got a spring assist, 440A Stainless steel, tip up and down, serrated and plain edge, G-10 handle and an overall great feel and sturdy design. On top of that it has a lifetime warranty. My favorite aspect of this design is the spring assist. You can open it by using the standard thumb stud or by using the quick flick on the backside of the blade. This makes opening the knife easier to open and with more options. Likely, I will buy a few more as gifts and as spares. I believe that the internet price is more then what I paid, but even for $20 this knife is worth double that.
