Recently I have taken an interest in steels, knife sharpening and knifes. In that order. I have ordered quite a number of knifes of late. Each knife has been made of a different blade steel/handle material. I bought this knife after an internet word search for "440C" stainless steel. The 440C steel is so hard the blade has been cnc milled instead of ground. This gives the blade an unusual keen appearance. While I bought this knife just for the 440C steel, excellent: I was impressed by the weight, heft and feel of the knife in my hand. The handle material (composition unknown) greatly adds to the ability to open the knife with one hand. The knife has a tab like a assisted opening knife. The blade opens with a press of the tab and a flip of the wrist! The knife came razor sharp as well! I love this knife!
