Not a bad blade for the price.
Good quality handle materials, attractive, reasonably tight assembly. Very heavy. The blade is made from 1/4 inch stock, thicker than most, but well enough ballanced to still be lively in the hand. It will lend itself well to a variety of camp chores and makes an impressive deterant if self defence becomes necessary.
Handle is a little large, perhaps too large for some smaller people.
I'm 5 foot 2 inches, 130 lbs and it's right at my personal limit. But then again
I have somewhat large hands for a person (hobbit) of my size.
Sheath is another matter!
Thin leather, poor, cheap plating on the fittings, and worst of all... It just plain doesn't fit the blade. Takes only about 3/4 of the blade's length before locking up. I made a new one for it in about an hour, but then again I'm a leather worker on the side. Some folks might not have that option.
I give the knife four stars, the sheath one star, but don't write off the knife because of the sheath alone! Your sheath might fit better than mine did. Or if you like carrying big knives on hunting or camping trips, you might already know someone who can fix you up with a better sheath.
