This tow strap is far heavier/thicker than any I have seen in discount stores. I use it to haul twenty foot boats onto mud flats. I don't know what the actual weight pulled is, but it is far more than any car or truck I own or use. We used it to tow an unloaded dump truck from the mud with no problem. The hooks are heavy enough to hold anything the strap will. I wish that the hooks were larger just to fit some of the larger eyes on heavy equipment, but that is what chains are for. In all, this tow strap measures up to the descriptio given of it.
