This is a *very* well built diagonal cutting pliers that have incorporated into the blade two holes (1.5mm2 & 2.5mm2) that are precisely what is needed to strip 14AWG and 12AWG stranded or solid wire.

Obviously, if you already own a Knipex cushioned & insulated tool then you'll know what I mean when I say that the ergonomic "fit" of this tool is truly perfect. As an electrician by profession, I find myself reaching for this set of cutters/strippers day-in and day-out.

The picture doesn't do it justice, but I can tell you first-hand that the kick-out flanges by the tip of the handle (to prevent you from touching the metal & electrocuting yourself) have a very nice indentation in it that truly fits your thumb perfectly.

Anyway, this is the 2nd pair of this exact model of cutters that I've owned....my 1st pair lasted me roughly 2-years until they "walked off" complements to me leaving my tool pouch out while I was using the little boy's room. So, with that long-term first hand knowledge of this tool, I can't recommend it high enough.
