I really like this knife. i commend Buck for making such a nice knife at this price point. It is well made, opens extremely fast - like an auto, looks great and overall holds an edge fairly well - a perfect every day pocket knife. I got the blue - i love the CNC handles.Despite all the positives listed above, i have to say that the safety is terrible - i really don't like it... it gets in the way and is uncomfortable when cutting. Also, i never use it. Further, although some may disagree, i do not like the pocket clip either. The gap in it is too wide and it sticks out (laterally) too far. Because of the angle of the clip, i find it a little tricky to tuck into a jean pocket without looking at what i am doing. Other knives i have had, you can clip the knife onto something easily without looking at it. Due to this, i got a small screwdriver set and removed both the safety and pocket clip. Be careful if you do this as the knife is spring loaded and is tricky to get back together. Just spread the handle far enough to remove the safety and DO NOT remove the whole pivot assembly. Took me a solid 30 minutes to get it back together. Now the knife sings! Sure, i don't have a pocket clip, but it is small, comfortable, looks great and is lightning fast to open.
The blade is not S30V or ATS 34 so don't expect miracles, but it does re-sharpen rather easily so that's the trade off. This knife does not have the build quality of a $150 knife... so don't expect that either, but don't let this scar you away - it really is a nice piece, truly - especially the assisted opening mechanism.
You should get one.
