Browning Spartan Folder Review

I bought this knife for $6 at Sports Authority as I too will purchase the occassional "cheapie" knife on my constant quest to find value and quality in certain price points. After removing it from the packaging and putting it through various stages of opening, closing, pocket clipping, gripping etc I found this knife to be rather unsafe. I have found that when gripping the knife when open with any pressure sometimes releases the lock due to the open design and the knife can close on your fingers. I could not give this knife to anyone as a gift with any kind of piece of mind.The one thing that surprised me was the edge on this knife from the factory, razor sharp! To add this unique knife to a collection is fine but I wouldn't use it as a tool. Someone once told me to stay away from knives named after gun companies and its generally sound advice.
