This knife has to be one of the finest examples for a knife for the price I have ever seen. And I owe upwards of 50 knives of all kinds. This knife has a very thick heavy blade that is full tang and made of a quality stainless steel for the price. I really think if I could stick this into a tree far enough I could hang and bounce from it all day. And trust me, I am no lightweight. It arrived sharp, but I honed it a little more where it is now deadly sharp. It will definitely take a beating and made for some heavy duty cutting to be sure. As for the sheath that came with it, it is as thick and quality made as the knife. I highly recommend this quality knife for anyone that prefers a super heavy blade in a straight edge design. They don't come any thicker or better made than this for the price...
