I bought 2 of these pens after taking a concealed weapons course [where they discussed less-lethal options]. They were selling them for $30 each! I knew they had to be less expensive than that! Amazon to the rescue!

What a mark up!!! Anyways, this is a solid construction. Though it's aluminum it's got a bit of weight & heft to it (which I like)! The cap snaps on really tight, and the clip is even stronger! You won't be losing this pen if secured correctly! The "spike" at the end isn't quite pointy to be mistaken for a dangerous object, but just pointed enough so that it definitely wouldn't feel good to get jabbed with it. The titanium matte finish looks great too. Great product!

Now I know many would say: "Just get a regular pen or sharpie. It's just as sturdy." I say to them: Great! By any means possible protect yourself! There are Executive metal fountain pens that would probably survive a stab through a denim jacket [and that are way more expensive too], but wouldn't you rather have an inexpensive alternative that is built specifically for the very purpose of stopping any assailant? This tactical pen is a steal at this price.
