I got these to put into a computer tool kit for cutting and stripping wires. To be honest they are OK but even the few times I have used them to cut copper wire has creased the sharp wire cutting blades. There is absolutely no reason for copper wire to do this to steel pliers. They do strip wires well and the have a locking mechanism on the pliers to keep them closed for storage. They are spring loaded and feature padded cushion grip handles to take the stress out of your hands.Based on the limited times I have used them to cut wires they are not ideal for heavy work at all. I have some other brands that are still as sharp as the day I purchased them 20 years ago after heavy use. I suspect very low grade steel as the reason for the strange early wear on the blades. They are just OK because of the cutting blades getting serrated from cutting thin gauge copper wire.
