This was my first metric wrench set and my first ratcheting socket set. I have been using this set quite a bit since I bought and it has held up adequately so far. The stubby size is good for tight spots and ratchet seems to hold the sockets tightly enough. The ratchet mechanism itself seems slightly flimsy; there is a bit of wiggle somewhere so it definitely won't last forever. For a starter or for the light user it seems quite acceptable. One thing to consider: this ratchet requires a hex bit adapter to use the hex bit whereas other similar models have the hex socket built in. I misplaced my adapter and lost the functionality of having hex bits included.
