I bought this on a one-day sale from Amazon for $49, but it seems like a value (maybe) at twice that price. I gave it as a gift to my son this Christmas, but I checked it over before giving it to him,and I really liked it - in fact, I regretted not buying two of them. High quality steel, beautiful workmanship and a great design. Really nice. I do a fair amount of deer gutting with a 30-year-old Buck, also a 3 1/2" blade (all you need) and, while I can't say this one would do a better job, it would certainly work as well, and it sure is pretty.
