Elk Ridge Hunting Knife Fixed Blade Pakkawood Review

For the price, you can't go wrong. The description doesn't mention that it's full tang.
I saw it at my gun shop, and figured, for a $15, full tang knife, how could I loose?

It's got one of those slightly concave profile things, which is nice. It makes it so you can put a razor edge on it. So you might think it's thin. It's NOT! The blade is 1/8" thick on the spine.

The fit & finish is nice and tight. It's a pretty knife. I got it for a beater. Now that I've spent about 20 minutes on it putting an edge on it that I wanted, it's a great knife.

Yea, it was a bit tough putting an edge on it, not impossible, but it took longer than expected. That could just be my crappy sharpening skills. I'm hoping it just means that It'll hold the edge.

In summery, yes, it's Chinese. but it's full tang, fit and finished well, 1/8" thick spine, fees good in the hand, (might not if you have monster hands.), sheath is beautiful, elegant, and has a retainer snap. I payed $15 for mine.

I hope it turns out to hold an edge. For the price you can't loose.
If this was 1075 or 1095 carbon steel, it'd be perfection. But for 440 stainless, still, you can't beat this knife.

Just spend some quality time with the edge.
