The German-made DX 93 is perfect for sanding louvered shutters with the optional extension foot (Festool 488036) Festool 488036 DX 93 StickFix Sanding Pad, Extended Length. The unit is powerful, but controllable. The unit is solidly constructed, as are all Festool tools, so it has some weight to it, but not an excessive amount. The sanding pads are not terribly expensive when purchased in quantities of 50 or 100 and when it is considered that their triangular shape allows them to be rotated 120 degrees twice after the initial use to extract further life. The sanding pads are well made and last a long time as well.

Festool is the premium tool in the market and well worth its price.
