The vise has pros and cons. I have been using it fairly heavily for several weeks on multiple small part (aluminum) machining projects.
Pros: Accurate, strong (for a 2" vise), aesthetically pleasing and seemingly well made.
Cons: The vise requires a fair amount of force on the crank in various positions to close the jaws; it is not uniform along the length of travel. I lubricated the vice and tried adjusting the tension screws to no avail. I hope, but do not expect that the vice will wear in.
