Product Description

The Benchmade 522 series has a 440C blade (plain). The drop point blade featured ambidextrous thumb-studs. The handles are textured Noryl GTX (tough and lightweight!) over a steel frame. The 522 line has the AXIS lock system which makes the knife easier (and faster) to open and close. The pocket clip can be reversed for right or left handers. Over all this is an excellent knife with a good feel and weight- something you could trust your life with.

I tried to tell Amazon Customer Service about this before, that this knife is being advertised erroneously as having AXIS ASSIST when in fact it uses an AXIS Lock system. Those of you who know of AXIS ASSIST I'm sure saw that and might just have believed in miracles for a split second, but of course, Benchmade does not provide the Presidio knives with AXIS ASSIST. There is a very big difference between the two, and of course Amazon just loves to misconstrue and tangle up the meaning of everything people try to tell them.

Now that it seems government can take over control of any business they want (I'm really using a lot of constraint here), maybe now an ACT OF CONGRESS will convince Amazon that this knife does not really have AXIS ASSIST.

Amazon, pay attention! IT NEVER DID, IT DOESN'T HAVE IT NOW, AND IT PROBABLY NEVER WILL! (Even though I wish it would)!

So Amazon Customer Service, take my word for it, and contact Benchmade about this. In the meantime, change the words AXIS ASSIST to read instead, AXIS Lock because by using the words AXIS ASSIST you are falsely advertising this product!

The Knife of course, IS GREAT! It's a BENCHMADE. Need I really say more?
